I’m Katie White, your Labour MP for Leeds North West, a new parliamentary constituency uniting Otley & Yeadon, Guiseley & Rawdon, Adel & Wharfedale, and Horsforth. Representing our community is the greatest honour of my life.
I was born and raised in Adel, spending my childhood climbing Otley Chevin, taking ballet classes in Horsforth, and learning to swim at Holt Park. I feel incredibly lucky to have lived most of my life in this beautiful part of Yorkshire, and I’m determined to give back to the community that shaped me.
I like to get things done and I know how to make things happen. It takes Yorkshire grit. Twenty years ago, I led the campaign that created Britain’s first Climate Change Act. Change doesn’t happen by itself; we have to fight for it. That’s exactly what I’ve spent my life doing, and I’m bringing that same energy and determination to make a real difference here in Leeds North West.
When I’m not in parliament you’ll find me out and about in Adel, Horsforth, Rawdon, Yeadon, Guiseley, or Otley, hosting surgeries, listening, working, and pushing for action. I want to hear from you because together, we can build a better future for our community.
